When Lightwave, a luxury smart switch and socket manufacturer, secured a prime location within a premium lighting retailer's physical store, they realised the need for a bespoke Point of Sale (POS) design to showcase their new product range. Their objective was to enhance their existing branding and highlight the interconnectivity of their smart home products. It was essential for them to demonstrate how the devices work together as a unified system, appealing to the luxury shopper demographic of the retailer's audience.

With only a hand-drawn idea in mind, Lightwave approached Beacon for support, and we transformed their vision into reality. They aimed to build upon the branding work we had previously done for their online presence, expanding to attract the luxury market. From concept to execution, the Beacon team ensured that every detail reflected luxury and sophistication.
We identified key considerations for the project's success in bringing their product offerings to life in an engaging and practical manner. This included the installation of the POS, ensuring its multifunctionality for the future, and enhancing interactivity. Lightwave wanted to provide consumers with a comprehensive overview of their product line and its interoperability. We developed a concept featuring one 'magic button' to demonstrate this unified system. To future-proof the POS design, we included space for marketing collateral and a preview area for upcoming products, allowing for seasonal updates in line with new digital marketing campaigns.
In addition to emphasising the interconnectivity of Lightwave’s catalogue, the final design improved consumer convenience by incorporating an area for social media links, as well as a space to display compatible smart-tech applications like Google Home and Alexa.
